Really hope Milei and those like him, libertarian/nationalists with passion, charisma and dedication to their people win out. It is men such as they whom embody chivalry, and the core traditional values that must make a return in our world, to throw off the trappings and the chains of post-modernism and modernity which have destroyed our nations.
Milei offers me much hope for the future, and it is men such as he whom inspire to write history and chivalry essays on my part. Because with the return of nationalism, hopefully we'll see a return of goodness, courage, honour and love back to the West, back to our individual countries.

Excellent analysis. Thanks for writing and publishing it.
All I would add is the inevitable pearl clutching from the media, theirs and ours. Milei is a hard-right libertarian, an Argentinian Hitler, Pol Pot and Darth Vader rolled into one. An economic Genghis Khan.
It is a minor point, but the Mileis and the Trumps also show up the constrained, tired and echo chambered mainstream for what they are. Absolutely unable to process anything outside their mental reservation and completely cut off from normal people.
Those who voted for Milei and Trump do not see themselves as extremists. They respond to the charisma and the hope they exude, however much cynics wish to dismiss this. As they say about Trump, people who meet him feel they've just had a conversation with a truck driver despite him being part of the billionaire class. That is quite a talent.
As you stated in the beginning, a true democracy elects its leaders from the mass of retards. It's why America's founding fathers implemented electoral college. So leaders were ultimately elected by landowners and businessmen, not lovers hoping to get "help" through others' taxation.
This made my day. I rarely watch videos but watched the entire 31 minute video of Milei's speech. I cried. I got chills. No the bad kind. If I was religious, I would pray for him. He's got an immensely hard path to traverse. I can only hope he is able to maintain momentum. This is the first thing that has given me hope politically in a very long time.
I look at his guest list and when I see gigantic cunts like: zelensky, orban and bolsanaro in the first row I already know where this will go. Nowhere. Milei is DOA.
That's also an argument but imo a wrong one. When the system is broken you can only elect the wrong candidate. The system needs change and it won't happen by voting.
That should be our default assumption, because extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. We all heard the stirring rhetoric, but what are Milei’s actual policies? Dollarization; support for Israel’s Gaza assault; support for Zelensky; opposition to BRICS. Wake me when Milei does something a CIA asset wouldn’t do.
Has it ever happened that a politician promised things to get elected, but broke those promises in office? Has privatization of state assets ever been a flimsy alibi for theft by insiders? Has the CIA ever intervened in South American elections?
Having been an anarcho-capitalist for over 30 years, I want to believe that Milei is everything he claims to be. But he is going to have to prove it, and so far, he hasn’t.
You’re either blind or ignorant, or just refusing to watch. It’s been less than a month, he’s repealed 300+ regs, and done more than anybody on earth in his position, in history.
An interesting read - thanks! I'm I. Argentina - decided to move here before Milei got in, and have been watching with fascination.
He says the right things, and is certainly charismatic, but his embracing of Zelenskyy was a bit of a red flag, and I suspect that a digital ID solution will be proposed for many of his changes. We'll see.
Not convinced. I’d need to know more about Argentinian politics.
Enthusiasm about a candidate comes from a mix of policy, persuasion, and POSSIBILITY.
Trump, as a billionaire, automatically had possibility. Ditto for H. Ross Perot, despite running as an independent.
Trump, also had an interesting policy position, one which hadn’t been credibly put forward since Perot.
Trump’s personality is a mixed. bag. He gets attention, yes. But he also sounds like a fascist despite being less fascist than W. Bush in terms of policy. And he also comes off as an ass clown to many, including many long time conservatarians.
Will be interesting to see how he does over the next year. Will be most instructive to see how he fends off the many outside funded attacks against his administration and if he can survive the pending CIA coup/assassination.
I really, really hope so. I was active in the tiny libertarian movement in Britain in the 1980s and have been perpetually sad ever since. Apart from some hope during the Thatcher and Reagan years, it's been grim. Milei gives me hope. Can we persuade him to run for president in the USA? I wish.

Great comment. And yes. He’s got the right kind of energy and leadership qualities. It’s going to be an interesting couple of years.

It was a beautiful thing to watch.
Lovers, not "lovers"...darn spellchecker
Indeed. And excellent addendum. Appreciate the comment

That’s my point. This is not “voting” thing. It’s a leadership and energy thing. Voting has and always will be for losers.

You cannot be serious.
If you can do better, by all means. Until then, your position is null and void.
In fact, just to drive the point home further, and hopefully help you open your eyes:

18 days ago, President Javier Milei was inaugurated in Argentina. Since then:
-Eliminated 12 out of 21 cabinet posts
-Firing 5,000 government employees
-Ending 380k government regulations
-Banned woke language in the military
-Bill to affirm the right to self-defense
-Bill to legalize homeschooling of kids
-Proposal to punish all riot organizers
-Future welfare cuts for road-blocking
-Legalized paying contracts in bitcoin
-Privatization of state-run companies
-Opened up the Argentina oil industry
Has it ever happened that a politician promised things to get elected, but broke those promises in office? Has privatization of state assets ever been a flimsy alibi for theft by insiders? Has the CIA ever intervened in South American elections?

Not really. Not the murder part.
